I took up Pilates class after the birth of my first baby – largely because a new mum suggested we did Pilates before coffee and cake! More seriously though, I wanted to re-build some strength and had been suffering from lower back pain – not to mention that the exhaustion- fuelled cake eating wasn’t helping the mummy tummy!

I loved it – it made me feel taller, leaner and stronger and I left the classes feeling relaxed and revitalised (as much as one can with a small baby in tow!). I had been a keen runner prior to my pregnancy and Pilates helped me get back to running and get the most out of it.  Pilates quickly became “my thing” and I carried on going to classes regularly after we had outgrown the mum and baby stage. As well as the benefits I got from the exercises, I found the concentration required meant it was a time to forget life’s other pressures – the perfect “me time”

One day a friend suggested that I should train as a Pilates instructor and I haven’t looked back!

I have been teaching Pilates since 2015. I completed my training with Future Fit, the “2016 Training Provider of the Year” and furthered my training with the Body Control Pilates L3 teacher certification.

I have a Level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates.

I am am certified Reformer Pilates teacher - with the Lisa B academy

I have also trained in Pilates with Small Equipment and Pilates for Common Orthopaedic Conditions.
